ComSSA UPSA 1.0

The Communications Studies Student Association (ComSSA) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) plays a pivotal role in fostering community among students within the Communication Studies department.

Founded in 2016, ComSSA was established to advocate for students pursuing Public Relations Management and has evolved from its original identity as PREMSA-UPSA. Over the years, the association has significantly bolstered its presence within the Public Relations fraternity in Ghana.

Currently recognized as the premier student chapter by the Institute of Public Relations Ghana, ComSSA-UPSA stands out as an exemplary student association, having received accolades, including recognition from Classic Awards.

The association actively engages its members through events such as “Why Study PR” and “Time with the Practitioner,” providing valuable insights and practical skills essential for success in the job market.

ComSSA-UPSA also prioritizes enhancing relationships between students and faculty through various engagements, fostering a culture of integrity and mutual support.

As the dynamics of education continue to evolve, particularly with online learning, the association is adapting by developing a dedicated platform. This app will facilitate communication among students, provide access to coursework information, and serve as a resource for those who may not be regularly present on campus.
